Kuwaitis' Hope For Economic Reforms After Election


Political feuding has gradually dragged the economic condition of Kuwait. On saturday, some Kuwaitis are expected to go to polling center with hopes that their votes would elect new faces that would rescue its ailing economy.


Yet, some have feared that their dreams for an economic reforms would only be trashed due to possible intimidation in polling places and vote-buying comes election.



The crisis persisted despite repeated pleas by the Amir, who has the last say in policy, for the legislative and executive branches to work together for the good of the country.
“We are hearing the same talk but until now we haven’t seen any accomplishments... I see that history repeats itself,” said Amani Bouresli, a professor of finance at Kuwait University.

Abu Dhabi's Housing Problems will Alleviate in Three Years


Though it still takes three years before they can finally say that the problems on Abu Dhabi's Housing markets are totally resolved, it still counts to the development of the region.


Abu Dhabi's housing shortage is already given attention through housing projects which are already under construction. This will alleviate the housing sector in Abu Dhabi which is expectedly finish in three years time.

The carefully planned housing projects will be an additional developments to Adu Dhabi in the future.

"The entire construction will be completed by 2030. Construction has already begun on the planned sports city in the area," said Al Hosani.

Kuwait Keeps A Resounding Growth


Last year was another excellent year for Kuwaiti economy, as it continued an exemplary performance. Today, Kuwaiti economy is still performing well and now they are counting 2008 as the sixth year of economic stability.



Other factors exerting more inflationary pressures have been the lending spree and expansionary domestic credit facilities by domestic banks to residents that had much of impact in increasing liquidity in the system. Moreover, the US Federal Reserve decisions regarding its interest rates had exerted another pressure on the region’s currencies and inflation levels for the last period. This is especially after the sub-prime crisis and the fear of serious recession within the US economy.

Bush To Press Saudis on High Oil Price


One of the world's top leaders, the US president Bush, travelled the Middle East for some reasons. One of which is to discuss with Saudis the threatening effects of oil high prices not only to US economy but to the world as a whole. Will Saudis respond to Bush's call?



The president's Mideast trip will celebrate America's close ties with Israel on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Jewish state, and will highlight US cooperation with its Mideast allies in the fight against global terrorism.

Bush was to meet with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Israel before heading to Saudi Arabia for talks with King Abdullah.

The Future Wealth


Where can we see the future wealth ten years from now? Arab Nations and Asian countries are on the list.


Economically, the wealth is almost focused on the western countries, while only few can be found in pacific regions and Asian countries. Nevertheless, one can never say where really the wealth is because of the present financial crisis that hit the global economy. Yet, some financial analysts claimed that the economic situation of a country has to go on with the up and down trend which make it possible for economic changes.

Ten years from now, where can we find the future wealth? Possibly, in a span of ten years, there will be some changes on the wealth whereabouts because, we cannot deny the facts that there are developing countries that has been making its way to economic stability, while there are few countries, which are considered as superpower countries that has been also experiencing economic downturn.
